I think these two boys might be the sweetest, most well-behaved children I’ve encountered in a long time! Here’s a peek into the Grashorn’s fall family session.
Ben and Emma. Where do I begin? These two contacted me to document their elopement in Marquette, Michigan, where they spent their college years at Northern Michigan adventuring. It was an immediate yes. I met Emma my freshman year at NMU and she was such a gift of kind and familiar friendship. She took me under her wing and I was so thankful for her. On some random school day during a random semester, we were eating at the school cafeteria and Emma saw Ben. Like a good friend does, I tried to sleuth and find out who he was. Naturally, I did what most creepy people would do, and I found him on Facebook. The rest was history.
This Labor Day weekend was such a blast of nostalgia; I was totally eaten up by the Upper Peninsula as soon as I crossed the Mackinac Bridge. It was an amazing privilege to be a part of such an intimate, relaxed, and beautiful day.
Here’s something to listen to while you thumb through the gallery.
My time with Katie and Colin: high school sweethearts who desired a fun, laid-back couple’s shoot to express their fun-loving relationship. Although they aren’t engaged just yet, they so naturally expressed this comfortable, fun, and genuine way about themselves that I couldn’t get enough of. Did I say “fun” enough yet?
(disclaimer for this six year duo: these aren’t engagement photos!)
The only song I can think of while I look through these photographs is “Happiness” by NEEDTOBREATHE. Enjoy!
