faq

01. where are you located?

I am currently located in Grand Rapids, Michigan but gladly (and frequently) travel. Feel free to inquire about a specific location and if there any any discounts associated with your locale.

02. what are your prices?

If you’re interested in learning more about my prices and offerings, please fill out the form on this page.

03. i have an idea for a project that is not listed on your website. are you still interested?

Absolutely! Please feel free to fill out the contact form, describe your project in detail, and I will be in touch within 24-48 hours.

04. do you protect our photographs?

I am meticulous about backing up digital files in not one, not two, but three different locations. I know how important the photographs I capture are to you, so I treat them like they are my own and do all that’s in my power to protect them.

05. how are our photographs edited, and how long does it take to receive them after our event?

I hand edit your photographs one-by-one, spending time with each. I have a specific editing style that I do my best to keep consistent in your gallery, while staying true to the nature of the location and event. I do not edit out people, things, or naturally occurring instances unless there is a specific request to do so. Once your photographs are ready for delivery (usually 6-8 weeks), you will receive them in a private gallery for downloading, printing, and sharing.

06. can we share the photographs across social media channels?

Of course. I just politely ask that you tag my instagram and/or website within the caption of the photograph being shared.

07. do you provide printing rights? if so, where should we print them?

Yes, print your little heart out.  I recommend using the print shop that is conveniently located within your gallery. The lab connected to your gallery has been calibrated to my exports, making sure that the color is matched and the photo paper used is of utmost quality.

08. what kind of gear do you use?

I shoot with professional grade Canon products and Canon prime lenses.

09. what should i wear?

Though this is mostly dependent on the location and nature of the shoot, I have created a Pinterest board that includes ideas for you to browse. I recommend dressing in what you feel most comfortable in. Avoiding patterns and instead leaning towards neutral colors usually yields the best result. Still having trouble? I’d be happy to talk with you about the feel you’re going for and help you envision different scenarios.

10. i want to book with you, now what?

Great! I can’t wait to work with you. Simply fill out the contact form on this page or below, sign your contract (this will be sent over shortly after we touch base), pay your deposit, and you’re scheduled! Easy.
